Emergency Equipment
Evacuation

During an emergency evacuation, passengers’ onboard ships and offshore platforms will often need access to lifesaving equipment and appliances. This includes the whole range of equipment such as the lifejackets, emergency escape breathing device, lifeboats, life rafts and much more. This emergency equipment must therefore be easily located and identifiable. JALITE photoluminescent emergency equipment signs, allow safe egress and survival of passengers in all lighting conditions. JALITE marine signs are designed with graphical symbols in BS EN ISO 7010 and therefore BS ISO 24409, as per IMO resolution A. 1116 (30). This regulation specifies that from 2019 all ships and marine areas must install ISO signs that conform to the updated graphical symbols in BS EN ISO 7010. Our signs are also designed to BS ISO 3864-1 colours and square shape, to signal ‘safe condition’ to passengers.
